Friends and Folklore is a project created by four members of the Songbird Collective, as a way to showcase their songwriting on the road.
Laura Brino, Meg Murray, Madisun Bailey and Carly Winter first toured the Southeast in the summer 2025.
Each artist showcased their unique sound and celebrated new releases in 2025, crafting a rich, immersive atmosphere that resonated with audiences of all ages.
They continue to book shows as a group of four, playing intimate listening rooms and songwriter showcases regionally.

Laura Brino
Laura Brino is an indie folk-pop singer-songwriter from Annapolis, Maryland. Her music blends folk warmth, rock energy, and pop shimmer. With deeply personal lyrics, she explores healing, motherhood, and resilience. A finalist in the 2025 Bernard/Ebb Awards, she’s also a filmmaker and founder of Songbird Collective, supporting women and non-binary artists through mentorship and community.

Meg Murray
Meg Murray is a singer-songwriter known throughout the Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington DC music scenes for her soulful voice, her songwriting and captivating performances. Meg has worked with Grammy winning producers, performed with friend and mentor Eva Cassidy, released 6 albums on her label Girl Island Productions, and has performed from Albany NY to Birmingham AL.

Madisun Bailey
Madisun Bailey, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland creates a distinctive style of funk, r&b, and pop, with amazing guitar technique, lyrical prowess and captivating voice.
Influenced by many artists such as, Erykah Badu, Lianne La Havas, Willow Smith, Radiohead, and Billie Eilish, Madisun was honored with the reputable Rammie award from Rams Head On Stage for "Annapolis Songwriters Festival Showcase Songwriter of the Year (Local) 2024," standing out among many other talented artists.
Performing regularly at clubs, festivals and venues across Maryland, Madisun devotes herself to crafting her own music, eager to share her art with the world.
Carly Winter
Indie/Folk singer songwriter. Having more questions than answers, Carly Winter uses songwriting to navigate her way. Based in Annapolis Maryland, she has found her love of sharing her thoughts through music and aspires to entertain along the way with her storytelling.
